Find out as much as you can about the manifacturer and see if you can find when it was actually made. Sometimes the wear will decrease the value but perhaps you can get that repaired. The more you can find out about it, the more likely an appraiser can put a price on it, too.

Vintage refers to old style, old model, specially an item that it is still manufactured or used nowadays but has evolved in the last decades, probably during the last 100 years or so. Thus a Commodore is a "vintage" computer; a garment from the 1970's is "vintage" clothing. A vintage car is one made between 1905 and 1930.
On the other hand an antique is something belonging to former times, no longer extant, probably something a century old or even from ancient times (Greece or Rome).
